The challenge

Designing for two users at once — a child and a parent.

Products for young children have an unusual constraint: the primary user (a 4–7 year-old) can barely read, while the decision-maker and co-user (the parent) has entirely different needs. The experience had to delight a child and reassure a parent in the same flow.

The goal was a service that helps children express and expand their creativity, while giving parents a way to guide and share in it — building a creative relationship rather than handing a child a screen to be alone with.

Approach

Playful for children, reassuring for parents.

1

Child-first interaction

Large, forgiving touch targets and visual-first navigation that works before a child can read fluently.

2

Parent guidance

Gentle prompts that help a parent join in and steer the activity, not just supervise.

3

Creative expression

Open-ended creative play designed to grow with the child rather than a fixed set of tasks.

The product

Creativity the whole family shares.

The result is a free, downloadable service built around creative activities that a child leads and a parent supports — turning screen time into shared, expressive time.

A closer look.

Activities are visual, tactile, and open-ended — designed so there's no single 'right' outcome, only the child's own expression.
